They specialise in fish balls with soup, but they also put on rice, noodles, tea and bits of braised food.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9582\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc04366.jpg?resize=4912%2C3264&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC04366\" width=\"4912\" height=\"3264\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">As this cool weather settles in, I am definitely going to be going back DiHua Street squid balls. But, I am a rice fan. In fact, aside from the odd curry, before arriving to Taiwan I would only very occasionally ever eat rice. But, here, I seem to have it at least once a day. It has certainly replaced potatoes in my life. This rice, with fried shallot onions and thick gravy sauce was spot-on. Order!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u7d9c\u5408\u7c73\u7c89<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">$85<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9577\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc04350.jpg?resize=3264%2C4912&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC04350\" width=\"3264\" height=\"4912\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Rice noodles &#8211; definitely my go-to order for noodles. I like the stringy texture, but I also like the way that they almost clump together and sauce clings to them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9581\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc04361.jpg?resize=4912%2C3264&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC04361\" width=\"4912\" height=\"3264\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Really, though, it&#8217;s all about the fish balls. Chewy on the outside, well seasoned on the inside with some extra meat to boot. Can&#8217;t go wrong? Also in the bowl are some starch-covered shrimp which go down well, too. They are more on the soggy side (well, they are in soup), but I think that&#8217;s ok! The soup itself has plenty of flavour, and is very warming at DiHua Street squid balls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u6cb9\u8c46\u8150<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">$30<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9578\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc04356.jpg?resize=4912%2C3264&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC04356\" width=\"4912\" height=\"3264\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When I see it, I get it &#8211; oily tofu. Disgusting as the name is, the texture makes it worth it. The skin has a slight chewy resistance to it, but the tofu inside is creamy and delicious.
