I noticed the bright neon lights, and looked in the window at this wild spread of ridiculously stacked skewers. However, I don&#8217;t feel like the menu really needs to be explained, as it&#8217;s pretty obvious based on the pictures. But, if I were to order from this menu, then I would be going for a couple of those oysters, a couple of the cooked scallops (\u5317\u6d77\u9053\u5927\u5e72\u8c9d) &#8211; <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/?s=scallops\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">because you know I love those scallops<\/a><\/span><\/strong> &#8211; and maybe a cheeky squid just for good measure, too. Sometimes, tofu has very little actual discernable flavour, and this was one of those times. That&#8217;s not to say it was bad in any way, but more that the flavour was taken on by the salty sweet sauce that this restaurant brushes on to the skewers as they cook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u751c\u4e0d\u8fa3 $25<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ti\u00e1n b\u00f9 l\u00e0 &#8211; Fish cakes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chewy, fishy, and right on the money. I&#8217;d order these again for sure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u8106\u76ae\u80a5\u8178 $39<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>cu\u00ec p\u00ed f\u00e9i ch\u00e1ng &#8211; Crunchy intestines\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>So <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/?s=intestines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">intestines are my jam<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. I will go out of my way to get some good fatty intestines, and I would most certainly order these again. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with plenty of flavour &#8211; right on the money.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u9dc4\u76ae $30<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>j\u012b p\u00ed &#8211; Chicken skin\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It&#8217;s not often that I would order chicken skin, but this was just one of those times. It was crunchy, greasy, and overall pretty tasty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u9dc4\u80d7 $25<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>j\u012b zh\u0113n &#8211; Chicken gizzards\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not my favourite, and I wouldn&#8217;t order it again. It was chewy and crunchy at the same time, which wasn&#8217;t what I was looking for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u8c6c\u8840\u7cd5 $25<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>zh\u016b xi\u011b g\u0101o &#8211; Pig blood cake\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As revolting as this sounds, it&#8217;s really pretty good. It&#8217;s crunchy on the outside, and nicely chewy on the inside. There&#8217;s not a vast amount of flavour, but it&#8217;s overall solid. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u8471\u8089\u6372 $35<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>c\u014dng r\u00f2u ju\u01cen &#8211; Pork wrapped green onions.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Green onions are really popular in Taiwan, especially in dishes such as <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/shengyuan-loofah-steamed-soup-dumplings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beef pancake roll<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/3-coins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Peking duck pancakes<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Right here, they were wrapped in a thin piece of pork and BBQ&#8217;d on the grill. But, as the pork ended up being quite dry, the green onions remained juicy and sweet. Next time I would probably get this if the pork were replaced with tofu skin, or maybe even chicken skin&#8230; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-bottom-line\">The Bottom Line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Is it worth it?<\/strong> Yes, without a doubt. At between $20-$40 for a delicious piece of BBQ skewer goodness, it is most certainly worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Would I go again?<\/strong> Easily, yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What was the stand-out order?<\/strong> I&#8217;d say the crispy large intestines were the stand-out order of the day.
