So, with that in mind, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/?s=yonghe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">there<\/a><\/strong> must be plenty of places to eat with so many mouths to feed. I have lived <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/?s=yonghe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in the neighbourhood <\/a><\/strong>on and off for the last 8 years, and I can testify to the fact that <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/?s=yonghe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">there is<\/a><\/span><\/strong> some seriously good food around here. is a genuine thing of beauty. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/Pft3g4sk8ToFbg2F8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">So far, the best ones I have had in Taipei have been from this spot in Tianmu.<\/a><\/span><\/strong> But this one right here behind Dingxi MRT station is a solid New Taipei City option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The bread<\/strong> &#8211; Somewhat crispy on the outside, and fluffy yet chewy on the inside. It was good, but might have benefitted from being eaten right there and then, to maximise crunchiness, at least. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The filling<\/strong> &#8211; At first I was confused, as I have never seen a Banh Mi with a filling of Korean Kimchi, Thai satay flavoured beef, accompanied by the classic salad and pickles that adorn many Banh Mi. I still remain unconvinced by it, but it&#8217;s worth a go if you like heavier flavours. It wasn&#8217;t delicate, that&#8217;s for sure, but it wasn&#8217;t offensive, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pork-banh-mi-95\">Pork Banh Mi $95<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"is-resized wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"596\" height=\"1014\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/banmi_5.jpg?resize=596%2C1014&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Banh Mi for days here with this house special pork option.\" class=\"wp-image-19475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/banmi_5.jpg?w=596&amp;ssl=1 596w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/banmi_5.jpg?resize=176%2C300&amp;ssl=1 176w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><sup>\u6703\u5b89\u8c6c\u8089\u9eb5\u5305<\/sup><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The bread<\/strong> &#8211; Exactly as above ^ Somewhat crispy on the outside, and fluffy yet chewy on the inside. It was good, but might have benefitted from being eaten right there and then, to maximise crunchiness, at least. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The filling<\/strong> &#8211; You can see the generous dose of chilli on top, which gave the fresh kick of spice that I like. The ground pork wasn&#8217;t chewy as you may expect, which was definitely a positive. But, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/no-name-pancakes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">if you combine this as a light lunch to then follow with this incredible egg pancake spot the other side of Dingxi MRT station<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, then I would say it is absolutely worth it! <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/UuECM545X9UT6Nfw6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Make sure to use Google Maps to get their latest location<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Is it worth an Ubereats if I am in the mood?<\/strong> <strong>Yes<\/strong>, I think it is a solid option for an Ubereats to scratch an itch.
